Technical Training

Training programs for type conversion training, recurrent training and familiarization courses are available. A professional team of full time instructors who have extensive experience in aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting train technical personnel and supervisory staff in such a way that:

  • the dispatch reliability of the Fokker aircraft becomes a continuously improving process
  • the maintenance can be performed in a safe and economic way.

In addition to the type conversion training a number of specialist courses can be arranged. If required, modules of existing courses can be combined to suit a customerís requirement.

The purpose of the type conversion training is to give students a Fokker Services approved standard of theoretical and practical knowledge of the aircraft and its systems in accordance with the level of daily maintenance, routine checks and troubleshooting which they will have to perform. The Fokker Services standard is generally in accordance with the requirements of JAR-66, JAR-147, ICAO and ATA 104.

Subject to the type of aircraft involved and the location of the course training includes, classroom sessions computer-based training and demonstration models as well as visits to the actual aircraft. Emphasis is given to system description, system operation, system testing and troubleshooting with the use of built-in devices, servicing and maintenance including the effective management of integrated aircraft systems. Cockpit systems training sessions can be arranged separately.

Upon request, Fokker Services can conduct the courses at the operatorís site reducing expenses for the operator. In this case tickets and expenses for the instructor will be charged separately.

For some courses a minimum number of students will apply.

The training and the training materials are provided in English and reflect the actual aircraft configuration where available. Multiple choice-type examinations are included in most of the type conversion courses. After successful completion of such courses the students receive a certificate issued by Fokker Services.
