More than ever, aircraft conversion makes sense. Conversion gives operators the flexibility to respond to market and societal changes without purchasing additional aircraft. Reviewing the Fokker fleet, more than 1,100 Fokker aircraft are available. Many still have 40,000 to 50,000 remaining cycles, making them excellent conversion candidates.

There is no substitute for experience. Fokker Services has already converted more than 50 aircraft into freighters and utility and VIP configurations. We have also designed, engineered and performed military conversions for maritime patrol, ASW, ASUW, EW, reconnaissance, multimission, troop and logistic support.
Second to none in defence
Our highly qualified engineers are experienced in working with a wide range of military aircraft. They have played a leading role in engineering modifications by introducing new avionics systems into the Fokker F-27 Maritime and the F-16 Fighting Falcons. Among others, they have also worked with the Brequet Atlantics, P-3 Orions, C-130 Hercules and F-5s.
For the Fokker F-27 modifications have included a variety of COMINT, SIGINT, ELINT, SLAR, Search Radar and Thermal Imaging systems (FLIR, IRLS). Dispenser installations for flares, buoys and chaff have also been incorporated into the aircraft.
Fokker Services welcomes the challenges of complex tasks, such as integrating non-standard equipment. Where special needs exist but suitable systems do not, we have the necessary skills to design, develop and install them.

The Fokker Maritime Patrol Aircraft are fitted with the latest state-of-the-art mission sensor and avionics systems which will enable the aircraft and its crew to execute the wide variety of maritime civilian tasks at peak performance with a mission platform that offers a built-in growth capacity for future military missions.
Each program has its own special requirements and Fokker Services recommends early development of a mutually agreeable Statement of Work. It might include overhaul of the aircraft, engines, propellers and landing gear; installation of a military-configured comm/nav system; and installation of 'provisions for' a customer-supplied sensor system,
