To prevent flight deck control, warning and caution lights to burn at high intensity for long periods during turn around and maintenance, Fokker Services B.V. introduces an automatic dimming system. The system increases the service life of the lights and reduces the probability of a delay. Dispatch is not allowed in case a malfunction of a light is detected by the Flight Warning System prior to dispatch.
