Fokker 100 and Fokker 70 Improved Windshield Temperature Control Unit

Service experience has indicated that the flap position provided by the flap control data unit (FCDU) can fail on one or more computer channels. The failure is often intermittent which makes trouble shooting difficult and time consuming. Dispatch of the aircraft is not allowed prior to correction of the failure.
A modification has been developed which eliminates the failure mode and reduces shop visits substantially.


Windshield Temperature Control Unit (WTCU).
